In WW2, over 200,000 allied prisoners were taken captive. Desperate times call for desperate measures, and a hare-brained scheme was hatched to bust POWs out of their camps. The method? Monopoly.

So much would I like to see a crossover channel review/segment with Adam and Quinns from Shut Up and Sit Down. That would be epic.
This was brilliant. Thank you Adam and the entire Phenoma-Nerds team!
dog this video is so fucking cool
Adam Blampied talking about games and WW2 this is so great
Adam folding that paper map was class! 😂
this channel is extremely underrated this video deserves 1 mil views
Liked for the opening line alone, what a great video!
I really enjoyed watching this . Please make this this a series . But one negative point if you are going to dress up , Adam is wearing an WW2 American flight person uniform not British also they had enamel mugs not modern day ones . But what an extensive board game collection .
He said the thing!
These should have more ads on them
I learned something new today, awesome stuff
It's nice to see Adam using those acting classes.
Describing how the silk map could be folded up small to hide gave me a "Pulp Fiction" flashback.
Well this video has everything.
Escape from Colditz references, cheap Cena gags, and managing to successfully sh*t all over Monopoly while praising it at the same time.
God, I love this channel.
This is great.
Board Games wouldn't even be around anymore if it weren't for Monopoly and games like Risk or Life
This is really good. I was locked in the whole time. Fantastic
The map segment had me dying laughing. All that crumbling around and alarms going.
Adam looks sooo good in that uniform! HOW does this man NOT have a tv show or something? His side jokes and fluid storytelling (like "we're taling about the war" "Psyche, we're talking about the game actually!"). Feckin' brill.
Nice costume dude
its so insane it works!
I wasn't too excited to watch this, but that intro. I am in!
This was really interesting, thank you.
This needs a Sabaton song.
…oh my God, he's worth EVERY F*CKING PENNY!
Jam that Jam
Why does he keep saying monopoly's shit. I think it's great
And Monopoly goes on forever and ever and ever and ever
This was so interesting really didn't think it would be for me but really enjoyed it. Keep it up!
Fantastic video well done! Great timing as well as this year does mark the 65th anniversary of the end of WWII. Everyone should share the shit out of this video, it deserves so many views!
Found this fascinating and brilliant
I swear Adam Blampied could make a colonoscopy entertaining
Adam this is amazing! Fantastic job!
Adam is perfect for storytelling. Equally hilarious and interesting, and able to switch between both immediately. Glad your back.
I hoped you was going to book better the rules of Monopoly xD
Adam blampied = the hardest working man on the internet… fact
"Italians. Check your attics!" Had to watch the rest of the video again because I was laughing so loud at that
I can only imagine the checks for those packages of Monopoly
“Safe, safe, safe, knife, safe, gun, safe, WWE Championship, safe…”
I really liked this video
I would like to see more board game history
Amazing
Board Gaming History is the series I didn’t know I needed
We need more ww2 uniformed Adam
Wow, just wow!
Certainly the best monopoly video
I love monopoly. I have like 6 versions 😂
Just stumbled on this channel and I’m living this history of board games series. More please!!!
How dare you cloud Escape From Colditz with the stench of Monopoly. It's in the better half of games, if you compare it to all the stuff that's been made. BGG ranks it on par with Balderdash and Spades!
4:57–5:08 Hilarious
They “designed a game to help prisoners get out of jail free”
….. I see what you did there !!! Lol 👏 😂 👏 😆
