While this version still has “Just Visiting,” “Free Parking,” and “Go to Jail” spaces, there are many differences between this and original Monopoly. First off, the game board is in the shape of the Avengers logo. Second, you’re not playing for money; you’re playing for power. And instead of buying properties, your goal is to use power to save locations around the board from villains. If you land on an unsaved, villain-controlled space, pay the power cost shown and cover the picture of the villain with one of your 12 location markers. If you land on a space that’s been saved by another player, you don’t pay rent; you pay that player a power-up. Other differences include Villains and S.H.I.E.L.D. cards in the place of Community Chest and Chance cards, and six Avengers character tokens.
