Hi everyone. HAPPY NEW YEAR. I hope you all had a wonderful Holiday season. I’ve been a bit lazy this time of the year but I am ready to start working hard on new DIYs.
Here is my version of the Pottery Barn Monopoly Board Game they were selling this season. It’s a bit time consuming but I really enjoyed the process. Hope you enjoy! ♥K

Free Monopoly Game Template:

*Print out the Free Template (it’s already in mirror image setting) on an Inkjet Printer. Make sure you tape the wax paper edges well. If you have trouble with smudging just print it out again.
*If you have smudging on the wood piece, you can try to wipe it away or just paint over it and start again. BE CAREFUL not to touch the image after its on the board. Finish with a clear spray sealer.*

Supplies:
** $5 + paint (just the 4 boards & game) – $11 + paint (I bought supplies before Dollar Tree increased its prices by 25¢)**

– 4 wood trays (Dollar Tree)
– Free Monopoly Template
– copy paper & Inkjet Printer
– wax paper (Dollar Tree)
– Colorforms Monopoly Game (Dollar Tree)
– Pencil
– wood glue
– spackling or wood putty (Dollar Tree)
– assorted acrylic paints
-Rust-Oleum Chalked Linen White Paint (Amazon, Home Depot or Lowes)
-Rust-Oleum Chalked Smoked Glaze
-Rust-Oleum Chalked Aged Glaze
-Krylon Color Maxx Clear Gloss Crystal Clear (Amazon, Home Depot or Lowes)

OPTIONAL:
– faux leather bag (Dollar Tree)
– frame (Dollar Tree)
– 4 wood boxes (Dollar Tree)

  1. Thank you for sharing your Dollar Tree Video! I’m so bummed our local Dollar Trees just switched to the $1.25. I got to say though I feel like you can tell there is an increase of quality and variety. It’s really amazing how many things you can find at Dollar Tree. I also make dollar tree diy, recipes, and shopping haul videos. So I go there often!

  2. I am in awe😍😍😍😍😍😍Wow you are talented

  3. No one is better then you! Always amaze me with your talent and detail!!!!!

  4. This is amazing! I am stealing this idea for a gift. I'll be adding the houses to the little square blocks but I wonder what I could use as the pieces

  9. Good grief you’re so talented! I don’t comment usually, but I had to this time. Your creations are all genius!

  10. Awesome. I was always wondering how to create one. I would buy it from this guy.

  11. That's too much time I got tiered of looking at her work on it I don't know about anyone else it starts getting boring She's doing to much

  12. whoa, wait! you just made your own rub-on transfer! That is SUPER COOL! Can you explain how you did that again? Make more like this please! The monopoly game board came out outstanding, super impressed!

  13. A better way of painting the upper part of the spaces, is to use painters tape to tape off the board as needed. You'll get much cleaner lines that way. Also, that's way too much cutting on the frame. Take it apart and just cut the ends to length. With a cutter like that, you can cut it at the same angle the ends are cut to. This avoids that seam in the frame.

  14. Wow–that's an amazing project!!

  15. I haven’t seen one of your videos in forever! Still the amazing artist! ❤️

  16. Amazing!! I love DIY

  17. Wow Wonderful . Thank you for sharing .

  18. What wonderful clever idea never would I have thought of doing this. Love, Love ❤ thanks for sharing! Rosemarie from Las Vegas NV

  19. There are so many things wrong with this video, I dont even know where to begin..

  20. Can I buy ur game? I am serious

  21. I must have the worst dollar tree in the country. We never have most of what's in these videos.

  22. Incredibly creative! Love this!

  23. This is stunning! I love how the drawers become legs. I'd love to be able to find a way to convert the Game of Life. I love this DIY!

  24. What are the snippets you’re using to cut the frame?

  25. Ok, I would use some of these concepts, with game pieces and cards from a $10 set. And I don't care if it looks like pottery barn or Malibu Barbi. I will upscale it to look nice but with my own charm. Perhaps Chanel.

  26. You got me till the faux leather. Just couldn't think why would you do this. Kept on watching and thought we'll not bad cut down on the noise of the dice, then thought wouldn't it be really nice to cool the leather. And the way you cut down the frame. .I really enjoyed this project. Great job. Any more games in the future planned

  27. One of the best DT craft videos ever. Brilliant!!! ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️

  28. Wow! phenomenal you did it again.

  29. This is the BOMB. And, too cool for words. *: D .

  30. Wow this is amazing!!! I'm in love! Just curious – I see you used a bag for the faux leather? I'm thinking it might be easier to use the CS faux leather that is available for the cutting machines. It does come in a white but without looking I don't know if it's too stark. This is just so stunning. ❤❤❤❤❤

  31. Lately DT has been having small bags of multicolored mosaic glass – I'm wondering if these could be used as the colors on the pieces – may not fit, just thinking they are nice little pieces I have a few bags downstairs, no idea what to do with them yet.

  32. Your Brain is INSANE… How you think of these things is beyond me!!

  33. …now that's commitment to a dupe!!!😍😍😍

  34. Why you didn’t cut the frame in 45 angle?, would look better, good job though.

  35. Omg just found your channel. I LOVE IT

  36. OMG!! NEW SUBSCRIBERS AFTER FINDING THIS VIDEO, DEFINITELY SOMETHING I NEVER SEEN BEFORE & IT LOOKS AWESOME PLUS U SAVED A FEW HUNDRED TOO!!!

  37. It's really nice! Definitely would 100% rather make my own like this than spend $300 just because it's got a fancy name brand on it!
I would put the hotel stickers on little pieces of foam matt instead of resticking them, the adhesive is bound to run out…
Also, I would have just cut the frame at the corners and shortened each edge then glued them back together at the corners to prevent of the cut lines You had the angle cutter right there. A lovely vintage looking tool by the way!

  38. Que bonito Trabajo 💛🍋

  39. This is really nice. Do you make these customizable?

  40. OMG where do i get the small little boxes combining together?

  41. Well done..Has me schemeing to make one with scrap lumber I have about.

  42. Pure brilliance!!! 💡♟️
Indeed, Monopoly was so creative, sophisticated and outstanding to me, i created this version of game feels kinda OK but also feels different board game.

  43. Wow that was si cool !

  44. My monopoly is the original version
