  1. My collection is very much this type of list, and others Dice Tower has done for the last ten or so years.

  2. 10. That's not a hat
    9. 50 missions
    8. Top ten
    7. kluster
    6. Hilo
    5. Decrypto
    4. Draftosaurus
    3. Timeline/Deasdline
    2. TTMC
    1. So clover

  3. This is the 1st time I totally disagree with Tom: 7 Wonders Architects is a very bad game.
You cannot play the game, because the game plays you.
You don't get to make any choices. The game decides the outcome almost as if it was preprogrammed.
Playing 7 Wonders Architects, you realize that this game was playtested during the COVID ERA, on a digital board game platform like Tabletopia or Boardgamearena and not with real components and real people sitting at the table.
If you want to waste your time, you might as well play Monopoly.

On the other side I agree 100% with him: Point Salad is a perfect replacement for UNO.

  4. Oh, wow. Butterfly is a fantastic pick. My buddy and I love playing this on BGA and we love pulling it out at cons becuase people thing we're playing a kids game, but it's soooo good! And so deep. Love this game.

7 Wonders Architects on the other hand it TERRIBLE. It's completely on rails. You have practically no decisions to make. It's so incredibly boring.

  5. Jedidiah is the first name of the husband of maegan hall (of Tennessee police fame) lol!

  6. "Monopoly has killed more people than smallpox"

  7. Disney has absolutely ruined Marvel (and Star Wars). Honestly that IP is nothing but a turn off to me now.
It’s a shame being I grew up collecting the comics and loved Marvel. 😔
Over saturation is a bad thing especially when done poorly

  8. id really like to watch this but the audio is so fried….

  9. Marvel is stil geeky!

  10. Ghost fighting treasure hunters is not fun.

On the other hand, my family loves Dixit, we have the entire collection.

  11. For people that like Dice throwing, Favor of the Pharoah

  12. For Love Letter – I love Love Letter Premium the most – Unfortunately out of print

  13. I think Jedediah is more common that Jebadiah.

  14. Zebadiah is also more common than Jebadiah, I think.

  15. Hard disagree on Insider. Werewords isn't too geeky or weird, it fixes the conflict of interest in Insider. If you're the secret insider, you barely have an incentive to help. You want to help because you're told everyone loses but also that you're not on everyone else's team so what are you supposed to do? Why not just have the insider work against everyone else – why not play werewords? Even the theme helps people get into it (in my experience). I play it with non-gamers alllll the time. Also, the app makes the round start simple and easy and you can use custom word lists.

Also, Dice Throne???? I love Mike but sometimes I think he doesn't understand the assignment at all. haha! King of Tokyo is yahtzee, there's no secret information you have to evaluate without anyone else helping with. You're playing cards on other people's turns… no comparison, KoT is easier. Also, Ark Nova is in Barnes and Noble now so not really relevant.

  16. Eh, I will lose my home I fear. The only games I have from this list is Cascadia and Ticket to ride.

  17. Why did this instantly turn into Top 10 Games For Non-Gamers? Such boring games lmao

  18. Don't wanna watch an hour to hear a list of 10 games….someone wanna help me out here?

  19. Where does one find a reasonably priced copy of Ghost Fightin Treasure Hunters?

  20. This video would ahve been hilarious with Chris Yi to see the others go mad at the mentions of Power Grid and Food Chain Magnate for this list 😂

  21. Marvel is mainstream, but it’s still polarising- amongst people I know about half love it and half hate it

  22. Love Yinsh, Point Salad, For Sale, Archeology, Ticket to Ride , and King of Tokyo !!!

  23. Why is Mike wearing a watch ?? !!!

  24. In that list, my fav bg are: Ticket to ride, can't stop and maybe "for sale".
Quick, simple, and keep you interested even when it is not your turn.

  25. I love the Dice Tower but this list is full of crappy games.

  26. As far as "geek" factor goes, Marvel is more geeky than Werewords.
I know if I tried to introduce some non-gamers to a Marvel-themed game, they would look at me sideways. I can see people rolling their eyes when you start talking about playing as superheroes and using superpowers. Werewolves are pretty universal and have been part of folklore and fiction for ages. You don't have to know that the game of Werewolf exists to play Werewords, and many people are familiar with the game of twenty questions.

  27. I think King of Tokyo is kind of geeky. The battling aspect and ticking down hit points and such might not really be for everyone.

  28. For me (not in any particular order):
    – Carcassone
    – Catan
    – Ticket to Ride
    – Kingdomino
    – Just One
    – Dixit
    – Cascadia
    – 7 Wonders
    – Skull

  29. I never get enough of Zee Garcia 😆

  30. I love planted! You can’t buy it here in Canada and I’d never heard of it, but we just went to visit my brother in America and I bought it on a whim, loving the theme. It was great and I am so glad.

  31. "what's that mean" "I told you already woman!" LOL

  32. You guys are hilarious! The audio though!

  33. Can't Stop is 100% correct. That's exactly what I was thinking when I saw this list.

  34. I love dice throne. That was a good pick! 🙂

  35. 1) Scrabble
    2) Clue
    3) Sorry
    4) Checkers/Chess/Backgammon
    5) Chutes And Ladders
    6) Candyland

  36. Haven't played Planted, Butterfly, GFTH, Archeology, Trekking through History, or Dice Throne yet, so I can't comment on these. Instead of Forbidden Island I would have picked Pandemic. Instead of Cascadia I would have picked Wingspan. Instead of Junk Art I would have picked Ice Cool. Instead of Can't Stop I would have picked Schollen Rollen. Instead of Yinsh I would have picked Santorini or LYNGK. Marvel United and El Dorado weren't for me. The rest I own and agree with (7 Wonders Architects, Point Salad, Downforce, Onitama, Codenames, Ticket to Ride, Just One, King of Tokyo, Insider, Love Letter, Dixit, For Sale).

  37. Great lists all of them.
To make the suggested collection ages better, I prefer these changes : 7 Wonders (any of them) -> Sushi Go Party , For sale -> Century (2+) or Jaipur (2) , Codenames -> Decrypto (Everybody has the chance to give hints and not limited to a single word or even words in general) , Junk art -> Tuki, Downforce -> Camel up or Bad Company.
    plus, four additions:
+ An easy sth and write game such as trails of Tucana or even maybe Capitan Sonar
    + Azul (OG)
+ A simpler non-consequential co-op game such as Hanabi (you don't want a group of non-gamers feel lost all together because of a game. You will dump such a game as soon as you can)
+ a good simple deduction game for the moments your guest feels pretty smart such as Deception of Cryptid

  38. A top 10 competitive games to play with 5+ noob friends will be great !

  39. I am going to have to buy Onitama because I need that boost in class and Feng Shui – that comment made me lose my shit

  40. Oi Tom! I for one thought Barnes and Noble was a department store until that was cleared up here 😉🇦🇺🌏

  41. “10 GAMES THAT SHOULD BE IN EVERY AIR BNB.” Think about it, all types of people travel. They travel in different group sizes. They have different interests. You need something for everyone and anyone.
    Cheers!

  42. Let’s all please stop calling Downforce a racing game just because it has cars in it that happen to be participating in a race.

  43. Why do I watch these videos? I don’t agree with any of these picks except Dice Throne.

    My 10:

    Imperius
    Treasure Hunter
    New York 1901
    Dice Throne
    Medici
    NEOM
    Splendor
    Targi
    Muse
    Stockpile

  44. I recently realized that Dice Throne will seem simple to any person who has already played games: Mtg, any fighting (because of the duel part, and the asymmetric fighter thing) or rpg game (talking attacks and upgrades, status effect and others).
Because to those people, the concepts that come from these games are simplified and mixed up in Dice Throne.
To any other person who doesn’t play much these types of games, Dice Throne is full of alien concepts and can seem overwhelming, I managed to teach it to three persons, all reactions were different depending on how much of the core concepts could resonate with people’s gaming experience. But I could teach this game to a friend without having the game in front of us, because he has played a lot in his life. Simply put, Dice Throne looks like an easy game, but in geeks’ eyes only.

  45. Hey great video. Can you please recommend a board game that can be played together with a Smartphone? Like Kids Chronicles…
