The best way to play monopoly is to do some out of the box deals. Like I would make deals where I would hand over a property to someone, but then they agreed that if I landed on them in the next X times around the board, I didn't have to pay them anything.

Capitalism = The private ownership of property, and the concept of employer/employee relationship where one person owns the means of production (machines, etc… to create the product), and hires workers for their labor in exchange for currency. Some people think this is unfair, because they feel they aren't being compensated enough for their labor. What they fail to realize, is that the OWNER of that business, had to make a MASSIVE initial financial investment to even START the business, and the OWNER takes ALL the RISK if it fails. All the worker had to do, was show up and do the assigned work.
In a Capitalist system, if you are not happy working for someone else, either by wage or salary, YOU have the option to START YOUR OWN BUSINESS.
You DO NOT have this option under Socialism.
Socialism = The abolishing of private property, and a system in which the workers own the means of production instead of the one individual owning the business.
(Socialism is really good at abolishing private property (You'll never own a house, or a business), but it fails every time at giving the workers control over "the means of production." It requires giving the state massive power to control the entire market. It pretty much always results in a dictatorial/authoritarian state in which the government controls literally everything… Soviet Union…China…Venezuela…Cuba…North Korea, etc…)
A country that has welfare/social programs does not make it "Socialist," because it's not abolishing private property or private business ownership.
Taxation + Social Programs DOES NOT = Socialism.
They are very different.
Canada (and every other Western country) is a Capitalist country, that has taxation, social programs, and regulations on the market. This would be known as a "Mixed Economy."
Some lean more towards the Free-Market/Laissez-Faire Capitalist side, like the United States, while some lean more towards the Keynesian/Redistributive Capitalist side, like EU countries. However, they are all still a Capitalist core with different mixed economy elements to a certain degree.
Inb4 some Vaush/Hasan brainlet responds with "BUT MUH LIBERTARIAN SOCIALISM/ANARCHO-COMMUNISM WORKER CO-OPS DURRRR, MUH PARIS COMMUNE THAT ONLY LASTED 2 MONTHS BEFORE IT GOT STOMPED DURRRR"
If they do show up, I'll be happy to slap down the fundamental flaws of their "Libertarian Socialism."
In the end, UNREGULATED Capitalism is bad. SOCIALISM is even worse.
REGULATED Capitalism with mixed economy, is the best model.
Obviously, economics goes FAR deeper than this… Fiat currency… Protectionism… etc…
But, those are the basics.
I'm obviously biased in favor of Capitalism, but everyone is biased, and they either just admit it, or they lie and say they're being "neutral."
